Privacy policy

Hello Clean Services (ABN 90 911 340 523) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with and what rights you have over it.

We operate in Australia and handle your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What information we collect

We only collect what we need in order to reply to you and carry out the service:

• Contact details: name, phone or WhatsApp number and, if you give it to us, email address.
• Property details: address, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the type of clean requested and anything else you choose to tell us in the additional information field.
• Scheduling preference: the day and time window you indicate.
• Technical site data: basic browsing information such as device type and pages visited, if we have analytics tools enabled.

We do not ask for and do not need card details, identity documents or sensitive information. If you send us that kind of data on your own initiative, we will delete it.

2. What we use it for

• To answer your enquiry and agree the day, time and price of the service with you.
• To attend your property and carry out the clean you booked.
• To issue invoices and keep our accounting records.
• To contact you about matters related to the service, for example a change of time.
• To improve the site and our services.

We do not use your data for third party advertising and we do not send you marketing messages unless you specifically ask us to.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it in these cases:

• With our team: the people carrying out the clean need your address and the job details.
• With service providers: messaging, email, form handling, website hosting and accounting tools. They only access what is strictly necessary.
• Where the law requires it: if a competent authority requires it of us.

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We choose providers that offer protections equivalent to those required by Australian law.

4. The booking form and WhatsApp

When you submit the request form on this site, two things happen at the same time. First, WhatsApp opens on your device with a message already written out, which you decide whether to send or not; if you send it, the information travels through WhatsApp and is also subject to that platform's privacy policy. Second, the details you entered in the form are sent by email to Hello Clean Services through Formspree, a form handling service, so that your enquiry reaches us even if you do not end up sending the WhatsApp message.

If you would rather not have your details sent by email, contact us directly on WhatsApp or by phone instead of using the form.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while you are a client and for as long as Australian law requires us to keep business and tax records, generally five years from the last service. After that we delete it or anonymise it.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but we limit access to those who need it and we do not keep data we have no use for.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses your browser's local storage to remember the language you chose. That information stays on your device and does not identify you.

If we enable analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this section before doing so. You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your data, provided we have no legal obligation to keep it.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your information, please tell us first by email. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date shown above.
